#03 - Dust & Fume Filters - Per Work Station


Per Station Dust Collectors such as these are ideal for 'Cell Based' manufacturing and work stations. Most of these solutions are based upon self-cleaning filter cleaning systems to reduce filter costs.Water based systems are also available for certain explosive and flammable applications

Some important points to consider when purchasing:

  • What is the Total Flow Rate? (How many CFM's are needed to capture the contaminants)
  • What is the exact resistance (filter and capture device losses) required for the fan to overcome?
  • Do I have enough filter media in the collector?(Air to cloth ratio)
  • Will it stand up to your environment (Eg: is it made from Plastic or Steel?)
  • Filter cleaning: Does the filter cleaning system really work in your application?
  • What will be my filter, maintenance and energy costs per year?
  • Are there any tertiary risks such as fire, explosion, etc, that I need to consider?


    Here are some general design velocities when using "CAPTURE" Hoods:

    Smoke (e.g. Welding):
  • Capture Velocity 100 FPM
  • Transport Velocity 3000 FPM
  • Minimum Face Velocity 2355 FPM

    Dust (e.g. Grinding):
  • Capture Velocity 500 FPM
  • Transport Velocity 4000 FPM
  • Minimum Face Velocity 4000 FPM

    Gas (e.g. V.O.C.'s):
  • Capture Velocity 50 FPM
  • Transport Velocity 2000 FPM
  • Minimum Face Velocity 785 FPM

    (03-065) WF-ECO - Weld Fume, Dusts & Smoke - Jet pulse cleaning filter system built in - 600 CFM at 4'' ESP - 6” Ø inlet
    Ideal for workstations that required a ''self-Cleaning'' filter system. With up to 99,9% filter efficiency the Wall-Flex ECO series cartridge collectors extract fumes and dust via a capture device such as a fume extractor. Once the contaminant is capture and filtered by the cartdidge it is then easily 'reverese-pulsed' off the filter with compressed air.

    This allows the for cost efective filter maintenance and ensures constant capture at source.

    The Stainless Steel Wet Dust Collection System from LEV-CO comes in a variety of models that are intended for safe, efficient collection of various dusts from sanding, grinding and deburring operations. Dust particles sink to the base of the tank and are easily racked into a disposal container using.

    (03-08) SeeClone (size/flow to suit)
    The seeclone dust collection system is to get the additional separation of dust particles before they get to the filters. It just stands to reason that the more efficient the cyclone is, the less often you have to clean the filters. The Seeclone design is the most efficent on the market today.
